
Tammy Morgan (b. 1979) is a music educator, clinician, and composer originally from LaGrange, Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kentucky in 2001, studying percussion under James Campbell. During her first years of teaching, she earned her Master of Music Education from the University of Louisville in 2006, where her thesis work involved the study and implementation of various rhythm syllable counting systems.
She currently works as a middle school music teacher in Louisville, Kentucky, and is a composer for C. Alan Publications. She has enjoyed creating works for concert and marching performances for over 25 years. She has been commissioned to compose works for several organizations including the Francis Parker School of Louisville, the Kentucky Music Educators Association’s 5th District, and the Milford Junior High Percussion Ensemble (Milford, OH). She is a member of the Percussive Arts Society(PAS) and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), as well as the Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA). She currently resides in Crestwood, Kentucky with her husband Ross and their three children Izzy, Eric, and William. She enjoys adventure, nature, joyful laughter, and the company of others.
